I am someone that needs structure to create. The structure in my paintings have always been the portraits. I would use type as texture and honestly never really wanted the type to be read. What would it be like if I had only text on the painting but still didn’t want it to be legible. Well, I went outside my norm and this is what I came up with. 

I also like the juxtaposition of raw yet modern which is why I chose to do these on an organic surface. These are all on handmade paper from Nepal. Each one is unique and size may vary.
